In reply we made 40 for 2, Charlie Blackwood and Rian Waterhouse both making 9. In Woore's second innings they made 31 for 1 and we replied with 40 for 1, the scorecard is incomplete for second innings but the result was we won.

U13s No game this week for U13s

The U14s this week made the visit to Whitmore, batting first we could only muster 73 for 9 which was well below what we are capable of, Josh Davies and Ollie Power both made 16. In reply Whitmore knocked the runs off for the loss of three wickets with two falling to Harry Taylor and the other to Lev Cope.

1X1 The 1X1 on Saturday made the trip to Meir Heath who we had won and lost against last season. Meir Heath decided to bat first and it wasn't long till Tom Lawton had found his groove removing the top three with 48 on the board. More wickets followed as they went from 92 for 4 to 103 for 8 before they were all out for 128. Tom Lawton finishing with 4 for 51 supported by Matt Johnson with 3 for 24, Dan Redfern 2 for 14 and Andy Cooper with the other wicket. In reply we made a bad start of 28 for 4 before Dan Redfern was joined by David Griffiths and they took the score to 68 when Griff was out for 16 followed by Chris Johnson for 18, Tom Lawton then joined Dan in knocking off the winning runs with Dan finishing 69 not out. Six Challenge update saw another week go by with no one registering a six to get out of challenge.

2X1 The 2X1 welcomed top of the table Ashcombe on Saturday, batting first Ashcombe made 241 for 6 with their top five all getting runs and some dropped catches not helping matters. Christian Gething and Joe Coggins with two wickets and a wicket each for Adam Parkinson and Joe Tomkinson. In reply some poor shot selection saw us all out for 71 with Benj Shirley top scoring with 21.

2X1 Talbot Shield The 2X1 were in Cup action on Sunday away at Whitmore, we won the toss and bowled first but had to start with nine players due to one running late and one going awol. Soon we had eleven though thanks to not Fireman Sam but our Barman Sam and got to work on the Whitmore batting. We bowled and fielded well as we bowled them out for 133, Andy Gething with 3 for 18, Ollie Power 2 for 18, Christian Gething 2 for 34 and a wicket each for Liam Bedson, Rob Heath and Joe Tomkinson. The next part of the match was quite remarkable and pretty tense, in reply to Whitmore we slipped to 61 for 8 and all hope seemed lost with our captain muttering to himself with head in hands. At this point Dave Redfern was joined by Christian Gething and the two of them batted sensibly using up overs as our score started to climb. The two of them added 72 for the ninth wicket as we drew level with their score. At this point Christian was out for a well played 21 and the very next ball saw our tenth wicket fall to leave Dave 49 not out and us 133 all out. Meaning for the first time for pretty much all of us we entered into a Super Over. We selected three batsman and one bowler. We batted first with Rob Heath and Liam Bedson, Liam scoring a two and a single before running a bye to the keeper. Liam was then bowled which saw James Hopkin arrive at the crease and score a two and a four off the final two balls to give us ten from the over. In reply Rob Heath was selected as our bowler and with his first two balls bowled two of their batsman to win us the game sending the team and our supporters wild.

No 3X1 or 4X1 game this week.
